Woodhall Spa, St Peter, photo by Jonathan Hutchins* |
St Peter’s, designed by Hodgson Fowler, was consecrated in 1893 and became the parish church in 1915. Originally built as a brick shell, it has been developed into the building it is today. A collection of fine stained glass, both Victorian and modern including a recent addition commemorating the soldiers who left Woodhall to fight in the Battle of Arnhem. Fine reredos behind the altar and rood screen between the nave and chancel commemorating soldiers from the First World War.
