14 th century church in a quiet rural setting. There are good examples of poppy head carvings and the probably unique allegorical painting of the defeat of the Spanish Armada, 3 feet 1 inch high and 6 feet wide. Birthplace of Revd Thomas Scott, commentator on the bible, and John Stockton, Lord Mayor of London in 1740. Site of Commonwealth War Graves.
