Screened behind trees with a long drive, described in “The King’s England” of 1949: “... as having an approach unsurpassed in all Lincolnshire,” leading to the car park. The Mid Marsh Carltons comprising Great, Little and Castle Carlton have a long history, with catalogued artifacts on display dating back to the Neolithic Period. Display covering the 21st century discovery of a Saxon Island in LC called the Mystery In the Marsh and a display on the Carltons in 1861.
