All Saints’ Church, Horsington, rebuilt in 1860, is a striking Victorian church at the heart of the village. Inside, discover a vivid stained-glass East window and memorials that tell real stories – including Colonel Bonar Millet Deare, who died at the Battle of Laing’s Nek in 1881, leading one of the last actions in which the British regimental colours were carried into battle. The church will be open for visitors to explore, with displays highlighting its history, craftsmanship and the lives connected to it. Step inside and uncover the stories behind the names.
