One of 19 Doubly Thankful villages in England and Wales (all personnel returned from both wars). It also boasts a Wild Flower Churchyard. In 2020 the tower dramatically collapsed. This galvanised the villagers to show what colourful, creative thinking can achieve (see talk at the scene of the disaster at 1.30pm on Saturday).
