Alvingham, St Adelwold* |
The only church in the country dedicated to St Adelwold.
Site of a Gilbertine monastery, on the ‘Gilbertine Trail
Route’ on Google. St Adelwold is a working church, built

name. Restored 1933.
Two churches in one churchyard; St Mary’s for North
Cockerington, which has box pews, is now in the care
of The Churchs Conservations Trust, but open to look
around.
Very peaceful; footpath to walks along the Louth Canal
tow path.

Saturday 1pm-4pm
Sunday 1pm-4pm
