14th century church in a quiet rural setting. There
are good examples of poppy head carvings and the
extraordinary and probably unique allegorical painting
of the defeat of the Spanish Armada, 5 feet 1 inch high
and 6 feet 1 inch wide. Birth place of Revd Thomas
Scott, scholar and commentator on the bible, and John
Stockton, Lord Mayor of London in 1740.
