Built in 1747 of stone and brick with later work in the 19th
century. Stands opposite Aswardby Hall and surrounded by trees. Fr
T Pelham Dale, parish priest from 1881-1892, was prosecuted and imprisoned for
ritualistic practices in 1876 and 1880. He was regarded a martyr by Anglo-Catholics.
