Spilsby Methodist Church* |
The neo-Gothic church was built from 1902 – 1925
through the generosity of William D Gainsworth of Skendleby Hall. Special features include screens in the
Lady Chapel and behind the high altar, the depiction of
the crucified Jesus with Mary and John hanging below
the chancel arch. A small lancet window in the sanctuary
depicts St George. The church is set in gardens and
allotments. The Lady Chapel is available for private
prayer. There will be a display on historical aspects of
Christianity in the area. We close with Evening Prayer.
