Swaby, St Nicholas* |
St Nicholas Church was built in 1827. It is a fine example
of a Georgian church. Registers date back to the 18th
century. The first rector of the church was Richard
Cameron, whose wife Lucy Littleton Cameron, was a
famous Victorian children’s author; she is buried in the
churchyard. The organ was probably built by Willis
and Sons and will be available to play on both days.
Knowledgeable guides will be available to show visitors
around on both days.
