Utterby, St Andrew

Utterby, St Andrew

Founded in the early 12th century, St Andrew’s Church stands as a remarkable testament to centuries of faith, craftsmanship, and community. Partially rebuilt by the monks of the Gilbertine Priory at North Ormsby, the church is constructed from distinctive local ironstone and chalk, giving it a character and heritage that remain proudly visible today.

This year’s festival brings our history to life. In partnership with the village school, we are sharing the fascinating story of our unique connection to the priory and the Gilbertine Order — one of the very few religious orders founded in Lincolnshire.
