Wainfleet - St Mary

Isolated building set in large churchyard with many fine mature trees. An impressive survivor of a deserted medieval settlement and lovingly restored in the late 19th century. The church has served this scattered community for about nine hundred years. The tower houses a peal of six bells. A ‘High Church’ with a rich ‘Anglo-Catholic’ tradition. Enter the churchyard by the lychgate and experience its unique peace and tranquillity
