Welton le Marsh, St Martin*

Church destroyed in English Civil War and rebuilt in 1797. Retains medieval chalk base. 14th century font recovered from a field and reinstated in 1912 (evidence of musket ball damage). Organ from Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. Display by Alex Peters of historical artefacts and facts relating to the ‘Battle of Welton le Marsh’ according to Oliver Cromwell’s letters 1643. Art exhibition by local artists.
