Lusby with Asgarby, St Peter*

Fascinating little church, probably dating back to 11th century. North wall of chancel has delightful little keyhole window of Saxon origin.  East wall above chancel arch is painted bright ochre and the arch contains 15th century rood screen. Niche built into south wall with brass memorial inscription, recording the grief of a husband at the loss of his wife. Part of memorial to Katherine Palfreyman, wife of wool merchant Anthony. She died in 1555.
